Educators and Schools

Dr. Kendra delivers professional development (e.g., workshops, seminars) to agencies and institutions (e.g., schools, early learning centers, non-profit) involved in supporting the well-being of children, adolescents, and families. Topics often include the impact of trauma, understanding and supporting challenging behavior, attachment, and coping with stress.

Dr. Kendra also works on a contracted basis to support the well-being, development, and behavior of students. With familial consent, such work can include observations, staff and family consultations, and participation in learning-based meetings (e.g., IPP/IEP planning, learning support).

Dr. Kendra has worked in the area of threat assessment and students wellness in schools since 2017 and is trainer with the Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines (CSTAG) team. She is passionate about helping caregivers and educators better understand what needs may underlie the challenging and concerning behaviors of children and youth and how relationships can be used to support wellness, learning, and development.
