Parent Counselling and Consultation
Parents and caregivers often meet with Dr. Kendra for support in understanding and improving their child’s wellbeing, development, behavior, and/or relationships. Common concerns include:
- Challenging behaviors and “big feelings” 
- Low self-esteem 
- Family conflict or tension in parent–child relationships 
- Anxiety and stress 
- ADHD 
- Coping with the impact of chronic illness on family life 
- Grief and loss affecting children or parents 
- Adjustment to adoption, separation, foster care 
Parent coaching, consultation, or counselling provided by Dr. Kendra helps parents and caregivers understand the needs and factors that contribute to challenging or concerning behavior and develop practical strategies to support their child’s wellbeing, development, and relationships.
Dr. Kendra also helps parents use everyday parenting activities and conversations to both strengthen family communication and connection and help children and adults feel more confident and supported.
Guided by research that highlights how to optimize a child’s development, her interventions focus on caregiver strategies that target a child’s needs, abilities, and development.
